"Resource Efficiency - Using less, living better"
From 24-27 May, Brussels played host to the 11th edition of Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy.
With the theme of "Resource Efficiency - Using less, living better", this year’s Green Week tackled the problem of resource depletion and scarcity, as well as the challenges and opportunities presented by constraints on resources. The conference also showcased public and private strategies to promote a shift towards lower carbon use and a more efficient use of resources.
Mostra was tasked with organising media relations surrounding the conference, inviting and managing the visit of some 20 European audiovisual media journalists. During the event itself, Mostra arranged interviews and facilitated easy coverage for the journalists. Mostra was also in charge of filming the event and broadcasting the highlights each evening on Europe by Satellite (EbS), the European Union's TV information service providing EU-related audiovisual material via satellite to media professionals.
Open to the public and free to participate in, each year Green Week offers a unique opportunity for debate and the exchange of experiences. Over the past decade, the conference has established itself as an essential event for anyone involved with protecting Europe's environment.
