On 8 May 2014, ICF Mostra organised a one-day symposium in Ottawa on the topic of ‘EU-Canada Cooperation in Common Security and Defence Policy: Current Engagement and Future Prospects’ for the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the European Commission.
The event was designed to highlight the EU’s contribution to international security provided through the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) and to further strengthen dialogue and cooperation with Canada on foreign, security, and defence policy. At the symposium, European and Canadian military and foreign policy officials exchanged views and experiences on working together, including through the EU’s CSDP partnerships and EU-NATO cooperation, particularly in the area of capabilities deployment.
This was the first time that the symposium took place in Canada and it highlights ICF Mostra’s global reach. The symposium featured high level speakers including the EU’s Ambassador to Canada Marie-Anne Coninsx, Canadian Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Jean, and the Commander of the EU Naval Force in Somalia, Rear Admiral Bob Tarrant.
The adverts are to be shown across all 28 EU Member States and the website and campaign materials are available in 23 languages.
Videos of the symposium are available on the Cable Public Affairs Channel (CPAC)
