ICF Mostra coordinated the 10th anniversary of the "European Charter for Researchers and a Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers" for the European Commission on 3 March 2015. University Deans, Rectors and HR Managers of research institutions, having been awarded the "HRS4R acknowledgement", came together to share their views and experiences on the impact and benefits of running a Human Resource Strategy for Researchers in their institution.
ICF Mostra produced the glass trophies in order for the successful universities to receive the ‘HR Excellence in Research Award’ for their endorsement of the European Charter and Code. This process involved collaborating with European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) and the trophy maker to develop a crisp, modern style.
To maximize the interactivity during the event ICF Mostra also installed ‘electronic voting polls’ where the 180 participants could, through a chip in their conference badge, give their answers to policy-related questions. The results of these polls were used during the event.
To celebrate this first decade of the Charter and Code, the Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas, joined forces with his three predecessors to blow out the candles on the anniversary cake alongside the Director General and high-level representatives from Research Performing Institutions, the European Parliament, the European Commission, Member States, Associated Countries and the press.
In light of the celebratory nature of the event, ICF Mostra made the most of its technical and event-design know-how, creating a spectacular vision of lights and gobos in various patterns and colours, thus enhancing the existing charm and stature of the venue, leaving a lasting impression of the work ICF Mostra can achieve.
