European Development Days 2011 held in Warsaw

10/01/2012

For the sixth consecutive year, European Development Days (EDD) – Europe’s premier forum for the international development community – was organised and publicised by Mostra, on behalf of the European Commission and the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Each year, the EDD event attracts world leaders, decision-makers, civil society activists, NGOs, and others to take part in this accessible and truly inclusive event. EDD provides the framework within which the diverse actors in the development community can exchange ideas, share best practices, and formulate the fundamental tenets which underpin development policy in Europe and beyond.

EDD 2011 took place on 15 and 16 December 2011, at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw, Poland. With more than 1 000 registered on-site attendees, and an expanded and innovative approach to participation in the event – utilising the latest technologies to provide truly interactive and highly functional live online streaming – EDD 2011 can rightly be considered a great success, as well as a shining example of Mostra’s capabilities as an organiser and promoter of high-level events.
