EU-US web-documentary up for Webby gong
A recent Mostra-produced web-documentary, 'The European Union and the United States: Global partners, global responsibilities', has been selected as an Official Honouree at the prestigious 16th Annual Webby Awards in the 'Documentary: Individual Episode' category.
In recognition of the exceptional quality of submissions received this year, outstanding entries have been acknowledged as Official Honourees, alongside Nominees. With nearly 10 000 entries received from over 60 countries, the Official Honouree distinction is awarded to the top 15 % of all work entered.
The web-documentary, produced on behalf of the recently inaugurated European External Action Service (EEAS) investigates the three main pillars of EU-US relations: economic ties, joint foreign and security actions, and global challenges. Video interviews were supplemented by a large amount of additional multimedia material to bring to life facts and figures, in the form of infographics, animated charts, maps, and timelines.
The Webby Awards is the leading international award honouring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996, the Awards are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
