EU Sustainable Energy for All Summit

30/03/2012

On 16 April, the European Commission and the Danish Presidency of the EU Council hosted the EU Sustainable Energy for All Summit, bringing together high-level representatives from the EU, the UN, developing countries, industry and civil society towards achieving sustainable energy for all by 2030.

As the largest provider of development assistance in the world, the EU is committed to secure, affordable, clean, and sustainable access to energy services for the most vulnerable. The presence of high-profile speakers, such as European Commission President, José Manuel Barroso, and UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, was therefore key to mobilising efforts to promote growth in developing countries through access to sustainable energy.

As well as organisational responsibilities, including managing participants and logistics at the Charlemagne venue in Brussels, Mostra was tasked with a series of media relations activities, including the production of press briefings, media alerts, and updates to Facebook and Twitter feeds, as well as the production of a short video clip to accompany the event.
