The awards recognise best-practice examples in the field of communication on agriculture and rural development in the categories ‘Communication to stakeholders’, ‘Communication to the public’ and ‘Innovative communication’. This year saw a record number of applications, close to 120, from across all Member States with nine projects eventually being selected as finalists.
Following live voting on the night, the awards went to: WWF Baltic Ecoregion Programme (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russian Federation, Sweden, Communication to stakeholders); Unións Agrarias-UPA (Spain, Communication to the public); and Fundatia ADEPT Transilvania (Romania, Innovative communication). This unique event gathered communication professionals from the European, national and regional levels to discuss how best to tell the story of Europe’s achievements through its successes on the ground.
