For the fifth time in a row, ICF Mostra successfully organised the European Week of Regions and Cities on behalf of the European Commission DG of Regional and Urban Policy. Highlights of our activities include developing a mobile app for participants, organising the RegioStars Awards Ceremony and producing daily reports.
Numerous ICF Mostra teams were involved in helping make the European Week of Regions and Cities (EUWRC) a success. We got started by setting up registration and arranging travel and accommodation for participants. Several venues – including on-site support staff, security, technical materials, signage, and catering – were prepared to host more than 6 500 people throughout the week. A mobile app was specifically developed to enhance participant experience, with more than 2 000 users benefiting. The highlight of the week was the RegioStars Awards Ceremony, at which model projects that received European Regional Development Funds were honoured.
Our media relations team prepared a media programme (including a several site visits and press conferences) for 110 journalists from across Europe. Our community managers mapped key influencers, monitored several social media accounts and made strategic promotion of the activities taking place. In parallel, the content team produced daily reports to keep participants and other interested people informed of the activities and discussions taking place.
EUWRC (formerly known as Open Days) is one of the largest events taking place in Brussels each year. The European Commission and Committee of the Regions host week-long activities across many venues to exchange knowledge and best practices on regional and urban development.
