In January, ICF Mostra along with the Directorate-General for Education and Culture (DG EAC) kicked off a one-year campaign to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus+ programme. Erasmus has been, by far, the most successful and representative programme of the European Union and the 9 million-strong Erasmus generation represents a true sense of inclusive European community.
To celebrate the 30-year milestone, DG EAC requested ICF Mostra to develop a creative and integrated campaign including a visual identity, video clips of Erasmus+ alumni, press material, infographics, a monthly newsletter and an interactive social media campaign. The one-year campaign launched on 26 January at the Parlamentarium in Brussels, where Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Tibor Navracsics and Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility Marianne Thyssen joined former Erasmus+ alumni and more than 400 participants.
ICF Mostra’s work doesn’t end with the launch, however. The campaign team is currently in the process of collecting stories of people who have benefited from an Erasmus+ experience and doing media outreach. One of the remarkable things about Erasmus+ is that it is a programme for everyone – young and old, student, trainee, adult learner, and more. For many it is also the first time they live on their own, so the social media team at ICF Mostra is putting together a series of life hack videos to help Erasmus+ beneficiaries with their daily lives.
In the year to come ICF Mostra will produce more infographics, organise competitions on social media for alumni to tell their story with emojis and songs, do media outreach and recruit celebrity ambassadors to give Erasmus+ a friendly and famous face in every Member State.
