Just in Time? Act Safely at Level Crossings

Despite all the measures taken to warn road users and pedestrians about level crossings and make them safe, many people are killed or injured each year on level crossings around the world. Almost all such accidents are due to road users failing to observe mandatory stop lights, signals and basic traffic safety rules.

On 22 June 2010, to raise awareness and help tackle this problem, the rail and road sector in more than 40 countries worldwide organised the International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD).

To help mark the event, Mostra produced a short video-clip on behalf of the International Union of Railways (UIC). Financed by the European Commission’s DG Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), this darkly humorous clip is aimed at road users and pedestrians all over the world and will be shown online, on TV and at train stations.

Visit the ILCAD website and watch the video.
