Client:

Year:
2004

Aims:
The Secretariat-General of the European Commission wanted to make the draft Constitution drawn up by the Convention available to all citizens of the 25 Member-States. The aim was to raise awareness and understanding of this founding text.Solutions:
Mostra designed the logo of the Constitution, the visual ID of the text. With its European colours in the shape of an open assembly welcoming the citizens, represented by stars, the logo exemplifies the desire for openness. (Europe is not a closed space, but a citizens' space). We also produced two brochures devoted to this subject. The first, «A Constitution for Europe» (20 pages), sets the scene and discusses the key points of the European draft Constitution. The second, «Presentation to citizens» (32 pages), provides more detailed information. Over three million copies of these brochures were distributed by the European Commission.
We were also entrusted with the creation of a graphic chart which will be used in various media, (stickers, document cases, folders, etc.).
