Publications
& websites

Mostra offers a complete range of services for all types of printed and electronic publications: e.g. brochures, leaflets, posters, magazines, newsletters, electronic bulletins, websites.

Our involvement may range from product design to production: e.g. definition of key messages, copy writing, translation (in all the languages of the European Union, and other languages when required), graphic design, layout, illustrations, printing, etc.

The services are provided by our in-house teams (project leaders, journalists, production staff, graphical designers) with the help of our international network of specialised partners (correspondents, translators, printers, etc.).



A few examples of our achievements in this area:

Brochures

«The European Union's fight against AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis» (European Commission - Development DG, 2003, English-French). This brochure (A4, 36 pages) provides an overview of the European Union's fight against these three latter-day scourges. It is aimed at everyone dealing with this issue, including NGOs, researchers, medical staff, businesses, associations, civil society groups and politicians. Mostra was in charge of the entire production process : the writing of the texts (in collaboration with the relevant services of the DG), photographic material, translation, graphic design, layout and printing.

Posters

«The European Union and the Environment» (European Commission - Environment DG, 2002, English). Mostra designed and made all the exhibition panels displayed at the Environment DG stand at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, (26 August - 4 September 2002). The exhibition panels are now regularly used at other events.




Magazines

«Fishing in Europe» (European Commission - Fisheries DG).This magazine, which is published five times per year in the eleven (soon to be twenty) official languages of the European Union, is sent on a subscription basis to officials in the fisheries sector, specialist journalists, and the NGOs concerned. Mostra is in charge of writing the articles, the translations, photographic material, computer-generated graphics and layout.

Logos

«.be» (Federal Government of Belgium, 2001). Mostra designed the logo of the Federal Government of Belgium. This logo can be seen on all official publications of the federal government of Belgium, and was very much in evidence during the Belgian presidency of the EU in 2001.

Computer graphics

Computer graphics (European Commission - Fisheries DG). Aimed at communication professionals, the computer graphics designed by Mostra provide a visual explanation of a given technical issue. They are distributed with the press releases of the Fisheries DG, as well as through its website, and are often used by journalists for illustrations in their articles.

Websites

Fost Plus (2003). This project was a redesign of the website of the body charged with the recycling and recovery of household packaging. With versions in French, Dutch and English, the site is aimed at a wide group of users, ranging from the general public to companies, operators and the media.
